Star Trek Into Darkness - Trailer (Homemade Version: Shot-For-Shot) (by DustFilmsOriginals)

Benedict cumberbatch: So, we still don’t really know much about his Star Trek Into Darkness character but, seriously, just listen to that voice. Is there anyone who could make a better Sith Lord? The chameleonic British actor already is beloved by genre fans. He’d be a great addition to the cast in really any role. As would Simon Pegg. Maybe not as a Sith Lord, but there’s no question he could be the cool teacher at, say, a Jedi Academy?

J.J. Abrams has been running a pretty tight ship with his newest Star Trekfilm.
He’s erected barriers to keep the paparazzi away and sworn the actors to secrecy, and we don’t even have a title, yet!
However, that might be changing as Paramount has registered a couple websites that might reveal the title to be “Star Trek Into Darkness.”
Both www.startrekintodarkness.com and www.startrekintodarknessmovie have been registered.
TrekMovie also confirms the title, and previously writer Damon Lindelof has stated they won’t be naming the movie “Part 2” or going the semi-colon route, but something along the lines of the Christopher Nolan Batman films.
So does the title “Star Trek Into Darkness” give us any clues as to the plot? It is reminiscent of “going where no man has gone before” i.e. outer space, but it could be a clue as to Benedict Cumberbatch’s character, who has been recently said to be the all-powerful Gary Mitchell.
The news of the new Star Trek sequel title also comes on the 46th Anniversary of Star Trek.
The as-of-yet unnamed Star Trek sequel has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Benedict Cumberbatch as an unnamed villain.

Highlights from an interview from TrekMovie.com with screenwriter Roberto Orci are below the break, with mild spoilers.
“Did you see Cumberbatch make it sound like poetry?”
I NEED this.

From aintitcool.com:
The premise of my question was to find out how much trouble Urban (who plays Dr. McCoy in the STAR TREK movies) got in recently by his STAR TREK 2 director J.J. Abrams & Co. for possibly spilling the beans on who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing…

See on Scoop.it - benedict cumberbatch‘Karl Urban, who plays Bones in Abrams’s rebooted franchise, appeared to unintentionally confirm the role, saying of Cumberbatch: “He’s awesome, he’s a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary.”’
Whoops! Or… clever bit of media manipulation?
Damn. Poor Karl. I wonder who will be playing Bones in ‘3’?
And I was so hoping for a completely new villian.
